"I was contacted by Candice Heffelfinger in October of 2014 with an offer of a temporary assignment for a School Social Worker. Ms. Heffelfinger was very clear in her explanation that the nature of the assignment was temporary and that she could not give me a date of any kind as to when it may end, however, wanted to make sure it was a good fit for my situation at the time. We discussed the options and I decided to take the assignment. What was once a temporary assignment is now my full time job which has propelled me to new heights in my career. Ms. Heffelfinger and the rest of the staff at ACS provided assignments that fit my needs and my schedule and kept me abreast of all changes in a process that could have proved to be daunting. The experience was smooth and rewarding and the transition from working with ACS to a full time position was done professionally, with great support and compassion.I would, and do, without hesitation, recommend ACS’s services when looking to further your career objectives. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to further my career and work with each of you"

"I was a TSS with ACS Consultants, Inc., for almost two years. I really appreciated the support that I received from the entire office staff. It was really great working with them and they make the job easier. They were always willing and available to answer phone call or email and were extremely welcoming when I talk to them. My job was to stay with the client throughout the day at school and to collect data on his behaviors and transfer necessary skills he needs to help him succeed in his everyday tasks. They are flexible and encouraging. I admire any company effectively making positive changes in the daily lives of others and ACS is definitely one of them. "

  • "ACS Consultants first, I want to thank all of you at ACS. My name is Harry Serad and I have a lot to be grateful to all of you at ACS. My story with ACS I think is somewhat complicated. I've been with ACS for years on and off. I finally appreciate how hard they have worked always for me. ACS always found me work. At times, I was not ready or it may not have been a perfect fit. And the trouble I caused them. Yet, through the years, they never turned me away or rejected me. Always welcoming me back. And with true care. Enough of the past, because I called again so recently. Talking to Candice and I was working within two days. They all care and make sure you are happy with your assignment. Everyone in their office always show care. For you and the school they think would be a good fit. No matter who picks up the phone, you feel you are special. I thank ACS for so much. All the chances and opportunities you give the independent contractors and continuously finding the best job for us. The care is so apparent. 24/7 contact and support. They never let me down. I'm now at an assignment I absolutely love. And you should be too! Harry Serad PS- Candice will always be my go to person but everyone in that office works so hard and has a heart of gold. They are all family and I feel that truly. A wonderful place to work for. Go for it. You will not be disappointed."

  • Hello, I'm Rob. I graduated from Chestnut Hill College in 2012 with my bachelors in criminal justice/sociology, I wanted to be a juvenile probation officer and still did but I was having a hard time finding a job as one. Everyone wanted experience, that whole catch 22 thing, so one New Year's Eve party I went to changed my path quite a bit!

The consultant (Susan) called me (I usually never answer my phone if I don't know the number, but i did) and she had an incredible energy and although I was already signed with two agency's Susan told me as a PCA I could help out my clients and peers as long as my client is on task and also be an assistant to the teacher. So it worked out very well. The other PCA's were very nice. I feel like I actually have a voice as a PCA, as to where when I was a TSS the teacher would more treat me like "the help" not very outgoing but the locations I've been in contact with everyone and everyone is very cool. After almost a year at a high school through ACS I actually realized that I could get through to kids so much easier as a teacher than as a juvenile probation officer so i applied for the fall semester to obtain my masters and I have an English teacher writing me a letter of recommendation. I actually made a lot of contacts in such a short time. Point of story I'm trying to convey is that I started out just a job, not really important to me. I had no idea how important it would be to me that it would turn into a passion of wanting to teach. I believe things happen for a reason and ACS are amazing people to work for. ACS really cares about you, giving me advice of how to go about my goal.

Everyone is unique on their own level, as long as you respect them they will treat you very well and you can be totally cool and honest with them as they are very open. Candice and Stacy I have to say as well are absolutely amazing and I appreciate everything you have done for me!! We are kind of like a family.

  • Around June of 2017, I had just gotten my US Residence Green Card and I applied to a position on Indeed. Not too long after, I received a call from Ana Cepeda, telling me that ACS was interested in hiring me to be a contractor Instructional Assistant at Olney Charter High School and she asked me to send a list of documents. Sadly, in that month, my ten-year-old nephew had been involved in a hit and run and I was trying to help my sister as much as possible and so I never sent any documents. In July, Ana called me again and told me I was still on time to send them, she walked me through all the clearances process. Keeping in mind it was my first job in the USA, I told her my experience was minimal working with kids, but I still wanted to work with schools, so I could better my English. She still believed I would be good for the job. She helped me to get an interview with the ESL coordinator of the school and she prepared me for the questions the coordinator would ask.

They decided to hire me, and so we completed the process of signing the contracts though e-mails. I believe that if ACS wasn't as organized as it is this would never have worked. When I started to work, Ana was always calling me and checking up on me. If I needed something she would move heaven and earth to help me. She gave me advise to manage behavior and where to find materials to work with the students. As I kept working there the ESL coordinator saw that I was very proactive, and she put me in a classroom that didn't have a teacher leader hired yet. So, I decided to guide the students on the work they needed to do while they found someone. Ana then stepped out for me and asked the School to give me a raise which they did. They put me in a Co-Teacher ESL position and also leading a class on my own, in which I have been working ever since. Now at the end of the school year the school have asked for me to be hired direct with the school and so I will have all benefits and the opportunity to be a member of the union. I leave ACS with sadness and a lot of appreciation for giving me such an opportunity and trusting in me like they did. What a wonderful company!
